Pricing FAQs

What are warrants?

Warrants are rules that specify relationships between objects in your application. Each of these relationships (warrants) can directly represent an access control rule (e.g. user:wiley is a member of role:admin) or it can represent a higher level relationship that implies a set of access rules (e.g. user:roadrunner is an admin of organization:acme - therefore giving user:roadrunner access to all of the resources in organization:acme).

Learn more about warrants in our documentation.

What constitutes an operation for billing purposes?

Any read or write operation made using your account. This includes access checks, queries, and any other CRUD operations. Each operation in a batch API call will be counted separately. You can see a realtime view of your usage in your Warrant account dashboard.

What is your billing cycle?

All accounts on the Startup plan are billed monthly based on the base rate and usage. Quarterly or yearly billing is available on enterprise plans.

What if we exceed the free tier?

Accounts exceeding the free tier limits will be billed at Startup plan rates. If a payment method is not in place, a member of our team will reach out to discuss options.

What if we have custom enterprise, security, or compliance requirements?

If you have any custom requirements (e.g. SSO, SOC2, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA / BAA), schedule a call with our team to discuss your requirements and options.
